Ichawaynochaway Creek is home to a suite of turtles including the Barbour's Map Turtle and Alligator Snapping Turtles. Barbour's Map Turtles are only found in the Apalachicola-Chattahoochee-Flint River Basins. Just a few miles downstream, the Ichawaynochaway flows into the Flint River.
