The pine barrens treefrog (Hyla andersonii) is a rare species found in small isolated areas. Regions where they occur include panhandle Florida and adjacent Alabama, the sandhills of North and South Carolina and the pine barrens of New Jersey. Despite its rarity, the pine barrens treefrog is not federally listed as an endangered species.
