Conservation

Eastern indigo snakes have been listed as federally Threatened in the United States since 1978. Unfortunately, habitat fragmentation and destruction, among other factors, still threaten this amazing species and their populations continue to decline. For more information on the efforts to conserve the Eastern indigo snake please visit Project Orianne.
