Egg-Laying

Egg-Laying

Flatwoods salamanders are known to go through terrestrial courtship and egg-laying, meaning they will breed and deposit their eggs before a wetland has completely filled. They often do this along the edge of a wetland where there is a lot of grassy vegetation (typically wiregrass).
